Kevin Lynn has chased creativity his entire life. You might say he is a bit of a Renaissance man, restless, curious and with a discerning eye. Kevin was raised on a Northern California ranch, was a rodeo cowboy in his youth, and in a complete change of pace, enjoyed success as a model and actor in NYC. He eventually pivoted to a career in fine dining and as a certified sommelier and wine professional. He had a camera in hand, documenting his experiences along the way.
His first love has always been film and photography. Kevin was inspired by his rancher dad who filmed his rodeo competitions on an old school 8mm film camera and the hours they spent together editing the footage frame by frame. He has studied the master still photographers of the 20th century including Weston, Adams, Lange, Cartier-Bresson, Weber, Gorman, Ritts, Avedon, Penn and Peter Lindbergh.
Access to the wine industry and its cellars, vineyards, and landscapes influenced much of his subject material today as a full-time fine art photographer. He has worked for over 30 wineries and accumulated an extensive library of images, many of them dazzling abstractions, western themes, and studies on both the urban and natural world. Kevin is shown in galleries in wine country and across the Northeast where he has a Pennsylvania home.
We are delighted to feature Kevin in our Wine Sisterhood Makers series. His complete portfolio can be viewed and purchased at Kevin Lynn Fine Arts.
