A Swiftie weekend in New Orleans.
Recently, we enjoyed a vibrant girls’ trip to New Orleans to see Taylor Swift perform live. The city’s already electric vibe was elevated by 65,000 joyful Swifties, filling the streets with glitter and smiles. We spent most of our time exploring the French Quarter, tasting local flavors, learning about voodoo history, and comparing the city’s distinct bar scenes. Taylor’s performance was an unforgettable part of the weekend, set against the backdrop of New Orleans’ lively charm.
Our New Orleans Itinerary
Friday: We kicked off the weekend with breakfast at Brennan’s in the French Quarter, indulging in their iconic Eggs Benedict and Bananas Foster. With a quick bite at Bayona in the afternoon, we dove into a voodoo history tour on Bourbon Street, guided by local expert Leanne. Dinner at Herb Saint wrapped up the day with fresh French-Southern cuisine.
Saturday: The day started at the Roosevelt Hotel before taking the St. Charles Streetcar to the French Market, sampling pralines, po’boys, and Boudin sausages. A walking tour highlighted the city’s eclectic architecture, and we capped off the night with live jazz at Fritzel’s European Jazz Bar.
Sunday: After a morning at City Park and a stroll through the Garden District, we dined at Galatoire’s before heading to the Taylor Swift concert. A pedicab ride home was the perfect end to a magical night.
Monday in Cajun Country: Our final day took us on a bayou tour, offering a deeper look into Louisiana’s unique history and natural beauty.
