Stress-Free Online Wine Shopping

Online shopping is convenient and, let’s face it, a necessity when brick-and-mortar shops aren’t available. Clothes and shoes are one thing, but shopping for wine online may seem more daunting.

Don’t stress if your home wine selection is looking low, the Wine Sisterhood is here to help. We want to show you how shopping online for wine is easier than ever, starting with these tips:

Sign up for savings. If you’ve never ordered wine online before, now is a great time to start. Discounts, deals and new virtual content abound when you follow social media or sign up for emails.

Check alcohol shipping laws in your state. Direct shipping may vary from winery to winery. Check out the winery’s ecomerce page for details on where they ship. Here’s where our wine shop ships.

National Rose Day!

Stick to what you like. Order brands and varietals you know and love. You can’t go wrong stocking up on your tried-and-true favorites.

Order something new. We know it’s tough when you can’t talk to your favorite wine shop employee or stop by their store for a weekly wine tasting. Browse resources online, including our Wine 101 posts, and keep an eye out online for virtual wine tastings with your favorite winemakers. Look for a chat bubble on the site where you’re shopping to chat live with a winery representative in real time.

We know it’s not the same as in person, but even an online wine tasting can help you explore new wines based on the hosts’ descriptions. Most online tastings will give viewers the opportunity to ask questions. Don’t be afraid to chime in! Our friends at Laetitia Winery are hosting a virtual tasting on Instagram Live on Wednesday, April 8th that you might want to check out. Find all the info here.

Call customer service when you need help. A reputable online seller will have options for reaching their customer service, like a chat feature, phone number, email address or all three. If anything online is giving you trouble, or you have questions about your order, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Find our shop’s contact info here.

Track your shipment and be home when it arrives. Like most online retailers, an online wine shop will send you a tracking code with your order. Save that email and note the date when your shipment will arrive, you or someone at least 21 years old will need to sign for the package. You may also consider signing up for services like FedEx Delivery Manager or UPS MyChoice that allow you to monitor shipments closer and get deliveries on your schedule.

When you’re ready to start loading up your online wine cart, our Wine Sisterhood Wine Shop is offering a couple of special deals to help make things even easier. Use code “STAYHOME” at checkout for 20% off bottles AND our usual 1¢ shipping on a case or more is now extended to orders of just 6 bottles when you use code “WINETOGETHER.”

Sit back, relax and let the wine come to you this month!

Are all of your wineries owned by women? If not, which ones? Thanks.

Hi Dustin. The Wine Sisterhood was founded by women and they created many of the brands you see shared on our site. You can learn more about how things began here: https://winesisterhood.com/who-we-are/

We are now a part of the Vintage Wine Estates family of wineries. We hope that helps answer your question. All the best! – Chelsea from the Wine Sisterhood

It really helped when you said to follow social media pages for discounts and deals. I need to order a couple of bottles of wine to bring to our friend’s dinner party. Thanks for the tips and I’ll have to check out different websites to see what kind of deals are being offered. https://www.marquis-wines.com/wine/
