Toast to Tailgating!
Football season is here and we’re looking forward to weekends full of friends, cheering on our teams and snacking the whole way through. We believe one of the best ways to fuel up for game day is with fantastic food and wine.
Cans are our new favorite way to get wine from the fridge to the tailgate party. With canned wine, you don’t have to worry about glass breaking in your cooler or wasting leftover wine in the bottle when you head to the game. And since one 375ml can of wine serves two to three glasses (depending on the size of your pour), you’ll have plenty to share.
Here are our three favorite canned wines and wine cocktails this season:
GAZE Wine Cocktails
GAZE is a light, low-alcohol, refreshing wine cocktail produced from California’s sunny vineyards, master-blended with natural flavors. Right now, GAZE offers two wine cocktails: Blueberry Pomegranate Moscato and Coconut Water Moscato Chardonnay. At less than 100 calories per serving, these are a perfect option for those looking for flavor while counting calories. Learn more about GAZE Wine Cocktails.
If You See Kay
If You See Kay Red Blend has been one of our favorite bottled wines for a while. When they released a canned Red Blend and a Rosé wine, our hearts skipped a beat. “Wide open throttle or don’t bother” is the brand’s motto and we think it’s especially fitting during football season. Enjoy while watching and cheering on your favorite fearless team.
Alloy Wine Works
Alloy Wine Works is a craft wine company using hand-harvested grapes and an inventive spirit to create “truly Californian” blends. They currently offer four wines all sourced from California’s Central Coast: Chardonnay, Everyday Rosé, Everyday Red and Pinot Noir. Earlier this year, Alloy Wine Works was named one of Wine Spectator’s top-rated wines in cans and boxes. Learn more about Alloy Wine Works.
Pack up your favorite wines, then head to the big game with this classic queso recipe they’ll be begging you to make every Saturday.
