Many of you have been asking for more info on our first ever Wine Sisterhood Gathering, Sunday-Tuesday, February 26-28, 2012 in the gorgeous Napa Valley.
Here are the deets, ladies:

Home Base: Avia Hotel. This is a super-stylish boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Napa. It will be where we stay and where the morning wine education and social media seminars will be held.
The Avia Hotel has given us a preferred room rate ranging from $154-$174 per night, depending on the amenities you might desire. These rooms start at $400 in high season so this is a screaming deal.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS (subject to change)

Sunday Evening:

Welcome reception and Oscar Party. Get right into the wine and social media swim. Get a hands-on Foursquare and Twitter experience.

Monday Morning:

7am to 8am - For those who want to get a head start on the calories we are sure to consume, everybody is invited to an optional, private fitness session at the newly opened Amica Studio just two blocks from the Avia Hotel. Founder and owner Lori Jones will lead us in a one hour Zumba Sculpt with core work followed by a relaxing stretch at the end.

Morning Welcome

The gathering begins with a welcome by Wine Sisterhood Founder, Terry Wheatley. Then we break out into smaller groups for our seminars and workshops.
 

Session 1

Beyond Facebook & Twitter: A Social Mobile Revolution. Digital Diva Aliza Sherman presents a session about social mobile apps like Instagram, Foodspotting, Corkbin, Pinterest and beyond to provide women with tools to document their experiences business & beyond. From the basics to the hottest new apps and trends.
 

Session 2

Food and Wine Pairing Seminar. Wine personality, Emmy winner, author and Head Thirsty Girl Leslie Sbrocco breaks down the principles of wine and food pairing as only she can do.
 

Monday Lunch

One group will head to the fabulous Bottega Restaurante in Yountville (celebrity chef Michael Chiarello); and the other goes to Kitchen Door (recently written up in Food & Wine Magazine) located in the charming Oxbow Public Market in Napa. We'll enjoy lovely family-style lunches, and of course, some delicious wine.
 

Monday Afternoon

The Kitchen Door crew will head over to Conn Creek Vineyards for an amazing Napa Valley Appellation and Wine Blending Seminar. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to put your own wine blend together--this is your chance. The Bottega babes will be whisked to Swanson Vineyards, where they'll enjoy a private, guided tasting of the wines and the beautiful ambience of one of Napa's most elegant tasting salons.

Monday Dinner

Monday dinner: Lobster Feed at Black Stallion Winerywith family member Cheryl Indelicato. Cheryl will introduce us to her newly released, female-focused wine called Handcraft which will be coming soon to wine shelves near you.
As a special treat, the wines will paired with appetizers from Cheryl’s kitchen. Also on hand will be Indelicato Senior Winemaker Alicia Ysais. Alicia is Cheryl’s winemaker on the Handcraft project . Kristen Vartan, the assistant winemaker for Black Stallion, will be pouring the Napa Valley wines of Black Stallion.
 
Immediately following--Lobsters in the Barrel Room. Chef John Sorenson flies across the country putting on his Napa Valley Lobster Feeds at high-profile events such as the Masters Golf Tournament. He will be cooking for us that evening. Plenty of wine and bibs for all!
 

Tuesday Day

Session 1

Taking Social to the Next Level: Online Video. Award-winning former Television Anchor, Host and Creator of Extraordinarymommy.com Danielle Smith will introduce you to the social media power of VIDEO. Learn how easy it is to document places and events, interview people, promote your business and yourself!
 

Special Session

Brands and Branding. Digital Media Entrepreneur & Lifestyle Expert Sonia Hunt will put into perspective marketing and technology as it pertains to brands, whether for a business or one's personal brand.
 

Session 2

The Wisdom of Women: Telling Our Stories. Moderated by Aliza and Danielle, find out how to tell YOUR story for pitches, presentations, social media, important personal opportunities and life passages. Hear how dynamic female wine entrepreneurs have used social media to bring their stories to life and move their businesses forward. Featuring Alyssa Rapp of Bottlenotes; Jen Amis of SpitBucket; Christine Trice of OMG I So Need A Glass of Wine Or I’m Gonna Sell My Kids; and Erin Sullivan of Acme Fine Wines.
 

Session Wrap Up Remarks

Aliza Sherman will give a wrap-up on what we’ve learned and how to apply it to our professional and personal lives. Each participant will receive an ebook on social media best practices written exclusively for the Wine Sisterhood Gathering.
 

Tuesday Lunch

The two groups will play switcheroo, visiting the restaurant they didn't visit the day before. So everybody has a chance at a Michael Chiarello sighting!
 

Tuesday Afternoon

Same deal--those who blended at Conn Creek head to Swanson and vice-versa.
 

Tuesday Late Afternoon

The groups will join up together at the Round Pond Estate for a private wine and olive oil tasting.

Tuesday Farewell Dinner:

We all head up to St. Helena to Farmstead Restaurant where Chef Steven Barber will prepare a southern-inspired, Napa Valley-style, farm-to-table meal just for us. After a final toast, we go back to the Avia to pack our bags for a departure the next morning. If you'd like to stay and spend a little more time, we will help you plan additional tastings if you wish.
